An Evening of Music, Faith & Transformation
Sunday, July 12, 2026 · 4:00 PM · Silver Spring, MD
My Story of Hope is a transformational live experience exploring resilience, healing, purpose, faith, and personal transformation through music and storytelling.
Through six defining storms — from grief and divorce to losing his voice to COVID — David C. Griffiths shares the raw, real journey of discovering that at every traumatic moment, God is still present. Five narrators give voice to chapters of David's life, joined by an extraordinary lineup of guest artists — including international recording artist Chris Willis, Stellar Award–winning Brandon Camphor, and more — a community choir, and a live band performing 19 original songs and gospel arrangements.
The concert also marks David's 60th birthday and serves as the inaugural event of the Story of Hope Tour, a 20-city initiative co-founded with Danny Williams through the Hope & Change Network.
Whether you are walking through transition, loss, uncertainty, burnout, or simply longing for encouragement — this evening is designed to remind you that your story is not over.
An extraordinary gathering of artists united by faith, music, and a shared belief that your story is not over.
Classically trained baritone, 2009 ISSA Songwriter of the Year, and Minister of Music with over 30 years of service. A graduate of the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University with more than 300 original compositions, David reaches over 1.5 million people daily through online worship and encouragement. International recording artist and the voice behind many of French DJ and producer David Guetta's biggest global hits, including the U.K. #1 single "Gettin' Over You." A gospel singer long before he topped international dance charts, Willis began his career in church, recorded on Warner's gospel label, and sang alongside artists such as Amy Grant and CeCe Winans before his music carried him to stages from Miami to Ibiza. His journey — from the choir stand to the world's biggest stages and back to the message of faith — embodies the very theme of the evening.
Baltimore-native singer, songwriter, and producer, and leader of Brandon Camphor & One Way, winners of the 2025 Stellar Award for Traditional Duo/Chorus Group of the Year. A featured soloist with the six-time Grammy Award–winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Camphor has earned four Billboard Top 30 gospel singles. His group's new album, fittingly titled Hope Lives, echoes the heartbeat of this event.
Classically trained tenor and contemporary gospel artist who spent over a decade as a background vocalist for Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Fred Hammond, and Yolanda Adams. He performed "We Shall Overcome" at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Dedication and has appeared at the Kennedy Center.
Internationally acclaimed soprano celebrated for her versatility across classical and gospel repertoire. Her performances span the United States, Canada, Jamaica, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Australia, including multiple appearances at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
American-Ghanaian singer, actress, and motivational speaker who has been performing around the world for over 30 years. Featured on BET's "Walk of Fame" and "Celebration of Gospel," Ofie brings her classically trained voice to the My Story of Hope stage.
Classically trained singer, award-winning theater performer, and audiobook narrator. A WATCH Award recipient whose voice-over credits span video games, animation, and audiobooks for Penguin Random House, Scholastic, and Brilliance Publishers.
David Griffiths' daughter, traveling from Atlanta for a deeply personal father-daughter duet of "Marry Me" — one of the evening's most intimate and moving highlights.
Minister of Music at Prince George's Community Presbyterian Church and a member of The Praise and Worship Experience. Carter brings vocal talent and heart to an evening of powerful storytelling through music, faith, and community.
My Story of Hope tells the life story of David C. Griffiths through six acts, each narrated by a different voice. Five narrators give voice to chapters of David's journey; Act 4 turns the spotlight onto Danny Williams' own story of hope.

Leadership development expert and researcher on intergenerational trust. David's friend since their teenage years at Takoma Academy and co-creator of the SAY IT workshop.
Seasoned minister and owner of Bennie Smith Funeral Homes of Delaware, with over 40 years of ministry and a deep compassion for families navigating loss.
Transformational coach, motivational speaker, concert host, and co-founder of the Hope & Change Network. Creator of the H.O.P.E. framework — "Hold On, Pain Ends." Act 4 spotlights Danny's own story of surviving divorce.
Strategic nonprofit executive and one of David's closest friends from Andrews University. Ron narrates one of the most painful chapters — when COVID-19 took the very gift that had defined David's identity and ministry.
David takes the stage himself for the final act — narrating the culminating chapter: stepping back onto the stage after everything changed.
